Dr. Yvonne S. Yang is a Board-certified psychiatrist trained in adult psychiatry with a focus on psychotic disorders. She has been serving the Los Angeles community since 2010, when she entered the UCLA Psychiatry Residency Program, after completing the MD/PhD combined degree program at Yale University. Dr. Yang graduated from the UCLA residency program as Chief Resident in 2014 and completed a research fellowship on psychosis treatment and research at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in 2016. Currently, Dr. Yang holds the positions of Director of the Thoughts and Perceptions Clinic at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, Chief of the Psychosis Section at the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center, and Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at UCLA. She also directs the UCLA Psychiatry Residency Research Training Program and Track. She is the recipient of a career development award from the VA to study the role of inflammation in health and functional outcomes in psychotic disorders, and recently received a VA Merit Award to examine synaptic density with PET imaging in schizophrenia, and how it relates to brain signaling.
At this time, Dr. Yang is not accepting patients. The Adelpha Psychiatric Group and Regeneration Psychiatry are UCLA-affiliated practices that provide excellent psychiatric care to the community and accept some types of insurance.
